Our Milk Production Process
At Sadaat Dairies, we follow a meticulous production process to ensure that every drop of milk we produce is of the highest quality. Our cows are milked three times a day, and we take every precaution to maintain cleanliness, prevent contamination, and preserve the natural goodness of the milk. The process involves multiple steps, each designed to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and quality.
Preparation and Milking
Before the milking begins, our milking machines are thoroughly washed with cold water to ensure they are clean and ready. Our trained milkers then gently massage the teats of our cows to help them relax and stimulate milk flow. This careful, gentle approach ensures that the milking process is comfortable for the cows while maintaining the quality of the milk.
Teat Dip Application
To prevent any potential contamination, we apply a teat disinfectant that creates a protective layer around each teat. This dip penetrates the teat orifice, effectively blocking mastitis causing pathogens from entering the teat canal and the udder. This step is crucial in ensuring the milk remains free from harmful bacteria and pathogens.
Automatic Transfer to Chiller
Once the milking is complete, the milk is automatically transferred into the main chiller. This step ensures that the milk is rapidly cooled, preserving its freshness and preventing any bacterial growth. Maintaining a cold chain from the moment the milk is collected is essential to ensuring the highest possible quality.
Machine Cleaning Process
After each milking, the cleaning process begins immediately to maintain hygiene standards. The milking machines are first flushed with cold water for 5 minutes to remove any residual milk. Then, hot water at 77°C flows through the pipes and machines for another 5 minutes to thoroughly sanitise and eliminate any remaining bacteria. Finally, the machines are rinsed again with cold water for 5 minutes to ensure they are bacteria-free and ready for the next milking session.
This comprehensive, multi-step process is designed to ensure that the milk we produce at Sadaat Dairies is of the highest quality — fresh, pure, and free from contaminants. Through every step, we maintain the highest hygiene standards, resulting in TPC levels of < 60,000. This ensures the milk we deliver to our clients is safe, nutritious, and of exceptional quality.
Quality Assurance
At Sadaat Dairies, ensuring the highest quality of milk is our top priority. We take every precaution to maintain the purity and safety of our milk through a comprehensive quality control process that starts from the moment it is collected and continues until it reaches our clients.
Organoleptic Testing: Our milk is first subjected to an organoleptic test, where it is checked for its appearance, smell, taste, and texture. This helps us ensure that the milk is fresh and of excellent sensory quality.
Antibiotic Testing: To guarantee that no antibiotics are present in the milk, we perform strict antibiotic testing. This step is crucial in ensuring that the milk is safe for consumption and free from any harmful residues.
Alcohol Precipitation Test: We conduct the alcohol precipitation test to check for the presence of abnormal milk proteins. This helps us verify the quality and purity of the milk before it’s sent for processing.
C.O.B. (Clot on Boiling) Test: The C.O.B. test checks for the presence of heat-sensitive proteins in milk that could cause it to coagulate when boiled. A negative result confirms that the milk is of high quality and free from any contaminants that could affect its stability.
Methylene Blue Reduction Test (MBRT):
The MBRT is used to assess the microbial quality of our milk. By adding methylene blue dye to the milk, we measure how quickly the dye loses its colour. A slower reduction time means our milk is of high quality, with fewer bacteria, ensuring freshness and safety for our customers. This simple test helps maintain the highest standards of hygiene and quality on our farm.
Gerber Test: We employ the Gerber Test to precisely measure the fat content in our milk, ensuring it meets the highest quality standards required by leading dairy brands. This traditional yet reliable method allows us to consistently deliver milk with the ideal richness and creaminess, providing our partners with premium raw material for their products.
